Supplemental glucosamene helps your body build healthy cartilage

Supplemental glucosamene helps your body build healthy cartilage

Glucosamine supplements should not be taken as a substitute for a varied diet. Always read the label before use. Supplementing the diet with Glucosamine Sulphate can increase the bodys ability to provide vital nutrients used in replacing worn out cells and tissues. There are many forms of Glucosamine Sulphate but Glucosamine Sulphate KCL is probably the best because it doesnt contain salt. Supplementing with MSM can help support the development of new cells and connective tissue, and may help promote healthy muscles, ligaments and flexible joints. As we age our MSM levels decline, increasing the need for supplementation.

Supplementation with Glucosamine has been shown in both actual studies and anecdotal cases to help the body replace sulfur stores, which is a major constitute of ligaments, tendons, and cartilage. The studies also showed a maintenance and repair of damaged tissues. Supplementation with plant enzymes (such as Proactazyme Plus ) not only aids the digestion but also helps reduce inflammation. Plant enzyme supplements are normally taken with meals to aid the digestive process, but when inflammation is present, additional enzymes should be taken between meals, when the stomach is empty. Supplements that contain perna mussel (or green lipped mussel) have not been subjected to the same type of research as Cosequin. There is no published evidence that the nutrients in perna mussel products have the same capacity to maintain the health of cartilage while protecting it from destructive enzymes and there is a concern with heavy metal contamination.

Supplemental chondroitin-4-sulphate helps to maintain the structural integrity of cartilage and inhibit the enzymes that gradually destroy it. Although it is a large molecule, radio-labelled studies have shown that over 70% of high quality chondroitin sulphate is absorbed unchanged.

Supplements containing glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate (a component of cartilage) have shown promise for relieving osteoarthritis pain and slowing the degradation of joint cartilage. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is conducting a large trial to test the effects of these substances on osteoarthritis of the knee, comparing them to celecoxib (Celebrex), a prescription anti-inflammatory drug. Supplementary glucosamine can be an important source of this vital component of cartilage as we age,?supporting normal cartilage function and?joint mobility. Supplements to the dog's diet such as Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate, Omega Fatty Acids, Vitamin E, Selenium, and MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) all assist in decreasing inflammation and improving the body's ability to repair and strengthen tissues. Supplements will not reverse structural changes in a joint such as torn cartilage, calcium deposits and advanced scar tissue.

Supplemental glucosamene helps your body build healthy cartilage and support sufficient synovial fluid, lubricating your joints and promoting free range of motion. It provides the glucosamine form most extensively researched for joint healh. Supplements should not be taken as a substitute for a varied diet. Always read the label before use. Supplements with much lower doses should be regarded as being protective to normal cartilage, rather than having a full treatment dose. There is a possibility that it might interfere with glucose control in diabetics, so diabetics should discuss this with their doctor before using it and check their blood glucose level regularly when taking this.
